Staller Center for the Arts

Staller Center offers an ever-expanding program of theater, dance, classical music and popular entertainment throughout the year. The center hosts master classes and concerts by the Emerson String Quartet and Calidore String Quartet, our resident artists. Staller has Long Island’s largest movie screen, and every July hosts the Stony Brook Film Festival.

Wang Center

Charles B. Wang Center

The visionary Wang Center, dedicated to the understanding of Asian and Asian American culture, brings together traditional beauty and the latest in communications technology. Filled with light and peaceful gardens inside and out, the Center offers spaces for conferences, performances, films, lectures, exhibitions and cultural celebrations.

Center for Italian Studies

The Center for Italian Studies in the Frank Melville Library is an integral part of the Italian and Italian-American community on Long Island. The center stimulates interdisciplinary research through scholarly lectures and international conferences. It also brings cultural enrichment to the community through a variety activities for the general public.

Pollock and Krasner

Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center

The property where artists Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner lived in East Hampton, NY, was deeded to the Stony Brook Foundation in 1987. The Pollock-Krasner House is a public museum that shows the setting in which the two artists created many of their works. The floorboards in the studio are still intact, complete with the remnants of Pollock’s famous poured paintings.
