    About the Program

    Study in Paris and broaden your educational horizons at Efrei for four weeks this summer!  Areas of study include IT, Management and French.  Students will also have the opportunity to interact and make friends with French and international students from around the globe.

    Additional Information A Partner University program is a study abroad experience where students are nominated/accepted by Stony Brook University, and enroll at a partner institution. In most cases SBU faculty or staff are NOT traveling with participants.

    Course of Study

    *9 undergraduate credits required

    For the summer semester Efrei will offer 3 course modules and a cultural excursion program, all of which are mandatory.

    The course modules are:

    • Computer Science Module: Information System Conception and Design (SBC: TECH)
    • Management Module: Project Planning (SBU equivalency: BUS 393)
    • French Language and Culture Module (SBC: SBS+)
    • Sightseeing and Cultural Program

    *Instruction is in English

    Undergraduate students following the Stony Brook Curriculum will also fulfill EXP+ and GLO

    This is a partner university program. Applications must be submitted to Stony Brook University first. Information regarding the next steps in the process will be distributed to students who have received formal nominations by their International Programs Coordinator.

    Program Housing Statement: Stony Brook University is required to comply with the housing policies of the host country, partner institution and/or hotel/hostel. These policies may include requirements such as sex-based housing placement.

    Additional Information

    Grades earned in an partner university program   WILL NOT  calculate towards the cumulative GPA for SBU students.

    Non-SBU students must contact their home university regarding their grade and credit transfer policy.

    Candidates may be interviewed to determine their qualifications for participating and representing Stony Brook University abroad.

    Application Fee $60
    Tuition Rate $286 per credit for NY residents

    $1,023 per credit for non-residents
    Program Fee $1,800 (includes double room, breakfast, airport transfer, 1 month local transportation pass, international health insurance)
    Administrative Fee $200 (non-refundable)
    International Health Insurance Included in the Program Fee
    Other Fees $1,200 (approximately; estimated additional meals, additional excursions, personal spending, passport, etc.)
    Travel Costs $1,500  (approximately; Students are responsible for their travel arrangements including airfare, visa costs)
    Costs are estimates for planning purposes of the student and are subject to change at any point.
