The program is designed to provide intensive language classes and in-depth cultural immersion experiences to participating students and create synergic energy through building broader networks between students of Korean language and culture on both sides of the US.

Professor Karine Klienhaus from SBU's School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences (SoMAS), has published a letter in  Science enphasizing the necessity of preserving the Egypt's vast section of coral reefs in the Red Sea. Students can experience this marine iniative for credit during the summer.
