    About the Program

    Study in an international environment and broaden your educational horizons at Copenhagen Business School (CBS) this summer. The CBS Summer University International Summer University Program (ISUP) draws more than 2,000 participants every year. Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark and is known for its charm and the aesthetic combination of historic and modern architecture. Copenhagen is a trendsetting place, and it is truly a cosmopolitan, safe, and approachable city.

    Earn up to 8 credits in 6 weeks!

    Students may choose to participate in an action-packed cultural and social program. Taking part in this program is a wonderful opportunity for international participants to get to know each other, Copenhagen, and Danish culture through specially arranged activities such as international dinners, city tours, folk dancing, and a weekend trip to Berlin. *Please note these arrangements and additional fees involved are coordinated directly with the partner university.

    Additional Information A Partner University program is a study abroad experience where students are nominated/accepted by Stony Brook University, and enroll at a partner institution. In most cases SBU faculty or staff are NOT traveling with participants.
    Program Housing Statement: Stony Brook University is required to comply with the housing policies of the host country, partner institution and/or hotel/hostel. These policies may include requirements such as sex-based housing placement.

    Candidates may be interviewed to determine their qualifications for participating and representing Stony Brook University abroad.

    *8 undergraduate credits required

    The CBS Summer University offers about 50 courses taught in English that cover a wide range of classic business courses as well as more diverse, innovative and entrepreneurial courses that draw on other academic discipline.



    Academic Policies

    • This is a partner university program. Applications must be submitted to Stony Brook University first. Information regarding the next steps in the process will be distributed to students who have received formal nominations by their International Programs Coordinator.
    • Grades earned in a Partner University program WILL NOT calculate towards the cumulative GPA for SBU students.
    • Non-SBU students must contact their home university regarding their grade and credit transfer policy.
    • Students are required to retain syllabi for each virtual course.
