Welcome to Stony Brook University's College of Business.  Congratulations on your decision to pursue your MBA or MS degree at Stony Brook!

MBA/MS orientation will be held on Thursday August 24th from 4:30 - 6:30 pm in the Tabler Center.  At orientation you will get a chance to meet your new classmates, faculty members, current MBA and MS students, and the staff of the College of Business. All efforts should be made to attend orientation. It really will make a difference as you start your program.

Please complete this form to let us know you are coming:  Orientation RSVP.

This orientation is designed to be a networking event. Faculty from the the various areas will be represented, as well as representatives from different departments on campus. We want to get to know you and allow you the opportunity to get to know the community that you will be spending the next 1 to 2 years with so we plan to keep the "lecture" portion of the orientation at a minimum.
Attached is the MBA/MS pre-orientation PowerPoint. This will get you started with the program and provide answers to questions such as:
  • Where do I park?
  • How do I get my ID card? (you might want to plan to do this before orientation)
  • Where can I buy books?
  • When and how do I register for classes?
  • Where can I find information on important dates and deadlines?
Most questions will be answered in the PPT so it is a good idea to save this for future reference.
One extremely important note: From this point forward all University notifications and emails will be sent to your Stony Brook email address. Please access this account and set up your forwarding preferences if you would rather have emails sent to your personal email account.
You can sign in at: stonybrook.edu/mycloud
Use your NetID and password to log in (you can find this on SOLAR)
After reading through the PPT presentation, please bring any of your questions to orientation. There will likely be other new students with the same questions. We will try our best to answer them.
