June 11, 2026 Community Message

Dear Modern Campus web editors,

Over the past several months, we have shared multiple updates with all web editors about the transition to the new Modern Campus CMS templates, including workshop invitations, demo recordings, and migration guidance. The templates are now live, and the rebuild and migration phase is well underway.

You must request a new site shell by Tuesday, June 30, 2026 for your site to remain live.

All sites are expected to be migrated into the new templates by August 15, 2026, and any sites that have not transitioned will be deactivated on January 15, 2027.

This is not an automatic conversion. Your site will need to be intentionally rebuilt using the new templates to meet WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility requirements and align with the university’s updated web standards.

We ask that you or someone in your department request a new site shell using this form by Tuesday, June 30, 2026. If you do not request a new site shell and migrate your content into our new template, your site will be deactivated on January 15, 2027.

A complete checklist for migration can be found here, and additional resources can be found on our CMS Support Site.

Departments needing additional migration assistance can hire from our vetted freelancer directory. These freelancers have been trained on the new templates and migration process and can help accelerate rebuild efforts.

If you would prefer to retire your website rather than migrate it, please reply to this email and let us know whether you would like it taken offline now or on January 15, 2027.

If you have already requested site shells for the websites you intend to keep, no further action is required before June 30. Please continue your migration efforts and plan to launch your new site(s) using this form by August 15, 2026.

Please open a support ticket for any other questions.
