Assistant Director

The Assistant Director is responsible for the general administration of a group of three to five residence halls housing approximately 1,200-1,500 students and reports to the Associate Director of Residential Programs. The responsibilities include training, supervision, development, and evaluation of 3-6 Residence Hall Directors. As a member of the Departmental senior staff, the Assistant Director is responsible for overseeing the administrative and management functions of the quad, as well as assisting in the development of coordinating the administrative, programmatic and academic functions of an Undergraduate College. This is a 12-month live-on position.

Residence Hall Director

The Residence Hall Director is responsible for the overall management of a residence hall ranging between 220 and 400 residents. This is a 12-month live-in position supervising 6-14 Resident Assistants. The Residence Hall Director strives to establish an environment that fosters academic achievement, personal development, and the physical comfort and safety of the residents. Additionally, the Residence Hall Director Serves on departmental committees aimed at achieving departmental goals.

Area Office Manager

The Area Office Manager is accountable for the administrative management and coordination of activities related to the overall operations and services of the residence halls. The incumbent reports to an Assistant Director for one of the residential communities on campus, comprised of approximately 4-12 residential buildings per area, accommodating over 1,100-1,600 students. This position may supervise Graduate and clerical support staff. The selected candidate will also need previous experience supporting a diverse client/customer population. The successful incumbent will have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, exercising strong organizational and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail. Essential for this role is the adeptness to work independently as well as part of a team with a collaborative approach to problem-solving. This is a full-time appointment. FLSA Nonexempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.
