Mohammad Delasay 

Mohammad Delasay's  research interests focus on operations management in the service and healthcare systems, including emergency medical systems and organ transplant center. He develops queueing and stochastic modeling methodologies to evaluate and improve the congestion management policies in such systems. He has published papers on these topics in  Operations Research , the  European Journal of Operational Research , and various other journals. He has taught courses on operations management, stochastic modeling and simulations, data analytics, and statistics.

Young Shin (Aaron) Kim

Aaron Kim's current professional and research interests are in the area of mathematical modeling and its application to finance. He is interested in mathematical models having fat-tails, asymmetric dependence, clustering of volatility, and long-range dependence, and in financial issues including financial risk management, portfolio management, and derivative pricing. Dr. Kim published dozens of research papers in internationally refereed journals and awarded one patent. He is expert in computer programming and shares basic libraries and tools implemented by him.

Herbert F. Lewis

Herbert Lewis has published extensively in the area of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), a linear programming-based methodology for measuring the relative efficiency of units that consume multiple inputs to produce multiple outputs.  His work has contributed to both the DEA methodology and its applications.  In addition, Dr. Lewis has published papers in the areas of vehicle routing, job scheduling, gene sequencing and educational pedagogy.

Christine Pitocco

Christine Pitocco's research interests are in the areas of performance measurement and blood bank recruitment and retention.

Katsunobu Sasanuma

Katsunobu  Sasanuma's research areas include probability theory, stochastic processes, queueing theory, and networks of queues. His doctoral thesis,  Congestion-Based Control Policy for Service Systems , explores a new Markov chain decomposition technique to analyze service systems. He is particularly interested in finding simple laws of physics related to real-world systems and applying the findings to improve service, traffic, and healthcare operations. His work has been presented at various conferences and has appeared in professional journals.  

Thomas R. Sexton

Thomas Sexton is internationally known for his research in Data Envelopment Analysis, a mathematical model that measures the efficiency and performance of complex organizations such as hospitals, school districts, and transportation systems.

Jadranka Skorin-Kapov

Jadranka  Skorin-Kapov's research interests are in the areas of o perations research (combinatorial optimization), continental philosophy (ethics and aesthetics), and art criticism (film).   She is the author or coauthor of over seventy scholarly publications in Operations Research and Combinatorial Optimization, and the recipient of a number of grants and awards, including five National Science Foundation grants. She authored books in continental philosophy and film art and criticism.

Keli Xiao

Keli Xiao’s research interests include Big Data Analytics with a focus on business and finance problems, empirical asset pricing, bubbles and crises. He has published research articles in several refereed journals and conference proceedings, such as IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering (TKDE), ACM Transactions on Knowledge Discovery from Data (TKDD), ACM Transactions on Management Information Systems (TMIS), ACM SIGKDD International Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (KDD), and IEEE International Conference on Data Mining (ICDM). He is a field editor of Encyclopedia of GIS 2nd Edition (Springer) and an invited reviewer of several refereed journals, such as TKDE, TMIS, and the Knowledge and Information Systems (KAIS) journal. He has served on the organization and program committee of numerous conferences, such as KDD, ICDM, and the SIAM International Conference on Data Mining (SDM).
