Get to Know Us! Stony Brook University is one of the State University of New York’s Flagship institutions. The Division of Student Affairs has been recognized as the Most Promising Place to Work by Diverse: Issues in Higher Education. Campus Residences comprises five departments: Business Operations, Housing Administration, Safety & Support Services, Information Technology, and Residential Education. The overall residential footprint expands the Stony Brook and Southampton campus with over 10,500 residents across 62 residential buildings. Campus Residences offers a wide range of diverse employment opportunities, professional development, and collaborative work environments. Campus Residences offers opportunities for both live-in and live-off roles, as well as roles for new and seasoned professionals across multiple disciplines within our five departments. There are numerous professional development opportunities available beyond the role, including opportunities to present, serve, and attend local, regional, and national conferences, institutes, and trainings, as well as participate in committee experiences. In the past, our department has attended a variety of regional and national conferences including: AABHE, ACPA, ACPA Curricular Institute, ACUHO-I, ASCA, CSPA-NYS, LICSPA, MACUHO, MAPC, NASPA, NASPA Region 2, NCORE, NEACUHO, NSEE, SACSA, StarRez, SUNYRLHA, and other building operations conferences. |
