LEAVE FOR CHILD CARE
State Employees
Employees are eligible for up to seven (7) months child care leave from the baby's birth date or date of placement for adoption or foster care. The seven (7) months includes the period of disability following the birth date. *If both parents are State employees and work within the same state agency, they may elect to share the seven (7) month leave. They are not entitled to exceed a combined total of seven (7) months leave, and the leave may not extend beyond seven (7) months from the date of delivery.
