Park Dae Sung: Ink Reimagined

Park Dae Sung: Ink Reimagined features the works of Park Dae Sung, an innovative artist who transforms meditative observation into monumental artworks that revitalize Korean brush and ink techniques for modern audiences. Park Dae Sung will be in attendance at the Charles B. Wang Center on October 18 at 5 PM to show his masterful strokes in action and demonstrate the limitless possibilities of the medium of ink.

Again is a typographical mural by Brooklyn-based artist Seongmin Ahn, expressing her manifesto of overcoming the global COVID-19 pandemic. The mural is a cross-cultural exchange and community bonds, and it incorporates both Eastern and Western styles, motifs, ornaments, and symbols.

Zen Rock Garden

Located on the first floor, in between the meeting rooms 101 and 102 at the Charles B. Wang Center, this Japanese rock garden (枯山水 karesansui) was created by Gerard Senese and his wife Hiroko Uraga-Senese as a tribute to the appreciation of Japanese culture.

Two Magical Shadow Puppet Shows

Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 1:00 PM & 3:30 PM

Caroline and Suzanne Borderies (puppeteers), Mirna Lekic (pianist), and David McCorkle (narrator) will present two original shadow puppet shows with intricate illustrations and lighting palettes that move from black and white to riotous color. Featuring animated characters and stories from Asian folk tales and a holiday favorite, the two shows will transport viewers into worlds of magic and wonder.
