Lori RepettiAboutLori Repetti is a SUNY Distinguished Service Professor in the Department of Linguistics. She studies the phonology and history of Romance languages, in particular Italian, Italian dialects and other endangered Romance varieties. Her research focuses on the interface of phonology with other areas of grammar (phonetics, morphology, syntax), microvariation, typology, and loanword phonology. She has conducted field research throughout Europe, and her research has been funded by both NEH and NSF. - Center Administrator & Program Coordinator
Christine E. GriffithsAboutChristine Griffiths holds a BA in Art History and Anthropology from Stony Brook University and MA and MPhil in Art and Cultural History from Bard Graduate Center in New York. Her professional background is varied, with experience in academic programs, events management, fundraising, and higher-education teaching. Ms. Griffiths has a strong research portfolio in seventeenth- and eighteenth-century European history and material culture and has held fellowships at the New York Botanical Garden and Dumbarton Oaks Research Library in Washington, DC for her doctoral research on perfume and garden history. At the Center, she organizes events and conferences, oversees the scholarship and fellowship programs, and develops and coordinates academic and community programs, including the non-credit Italian language classes for adults and children.
