Juneteenth & Independence Day 2021
JUNETEENTH
June 19, 2021, Juneteenth : This year Juneteenth falls on a Saturday. We have been advised by the Governor’s Office of Employee Relations that an alternate day to observe the holiday will not be designated. Instead, State and Research Foundation (RF) employees will be credited with a compensatory day as follows:
Full-Time Employees
All Full-time employees eligible to observe holidays, and for whom Saturday, June 19, 2021 is a regular day off, will be credited with a compensatory holiday in Solar or holiday earned should be noted on your timesheet.
Part‐Time Employees
Part-time eligible employees will be credited with a compensatory holiday in Solar or holiday earned should be noted on your timesheet.
Note:
• Part-time State employees are eligible for only those holidays that coincide with their regularly scheduled workdays or those on which they actually work.
• Part-time RF employees are eligible for holidays only if they are scheduled to work at an FTE of 50% or greater.
INDEPENDENCE DAY
July 4, 2021, Independence Day: Independence Day this year falls on a Sunday, which is officially observed on Monday, July 5, 2021.
IF YOU WORK ON ANY OF THESE HOLIDAYS:
If you work on June 19, 2021 or July 5, 2021, and you are eligible to accrue holidays, indicate holiday worked (HW) in Solar or on your timesheet.
