The contractual agreements between New York State and CSEA, PEF, Council 82, NYSCOPBA, and PBANYS employees provide for additional compensation (holiday pay or compensatory time) for work performed during your regular shift on holidays. Employees will continue to receive "holiday pay" for hours worked on a holiday until a "Waiver of Additional Money for Holiday Work" is submitted.

During the election period, April 2, 2023 through May 15, 2023, employees have the opportunity to elect to accrue holiday compensatory time or receive holiday pay for hours worked on holidays by submitting a waiver form.

The waiver if submitted will remain in effect until April 1, 2024. It is not necessary to submit a form unless you wish to change your existing waiver.

You may submit a new holiday waiver by completing the Holiday Waiver election form. The Holiday Waiver form is also available on the Time and Attendance section of the Human Resource Services Website (www.stonybrook.edu/hr). Your holiday waiver form should be scanned to HRS_TimeATT@stonybrook.edu by May 15, 2023.
