OPTIMIZING CAMPUS CULTURAL, ATHLETIC, AND FACILITIES RESOURCES TASK FORCE

Scope

The Optimizing Campus Cultural, Athletic, and Facilities Resources Task Force is charged with identifying opportunities for revenue enhancement through more effective use of the broad array of facilities and activities available on all Stony Brook properties including the main campus and our Southampton campus.  Additionally, it will identify opportunities to scale support and resources in a manner reflective of the contributions made by a wide selection of broader cultural and athletic programs that support intellectual enrichment, student engagement and public awareness across SBU’s locations.

Key Priorities

  • Generate new revenues through elevating Stony Brook’s approach to the utilization of existing facilities and programs;

  • Increase revenue by leveraging business partnerships, advertising, sponsorships, and branding; and

  • Optimize and scale resources in cultural and athletic programs
