The AACSB-accredited College of Business offers the Accounting minor as part of Stony Brook’s group of CPA-licensure eligible accounting programs, along with the MBA and MS in Accounting graduate programs. The minor provides a strong foundation for students who intend to enroll in a graduate accounting program in order to prepare themselves for the Uniform Certified Public Accountancy exam and a career in public accounting.

Successful applicants will display evidence of achievement in mathematics and writing and will have performed particularly well on both the Math and Critical Reading sections of the SAT and/or ACT. A minimum GPA of 3.2 is typically required.
