This is a great time to study Business Management at AACSB-Accredited Stony Brook! You'll learn the foundations of essential business concepts, with a focus on career development. Our faculty members are particularly interested in teaching and have gained a university-wide reputation as among the most dedicated and student-oriented professors on campus. You'll be encouraged to complete an internship in your area of their specialization to complement your academic course work in the classroom, and you will also have opportunities to get involved in faculty-led research, business-related clubs, co-ed business fraternities, and our Business Honors Program.
Ready to take the next step?
Successful applicants will display evidence of achievement in mathematics and writing and will have performed particularly well on both the Math and Critical Reading sections of the SAT and/or ACT. A minimum GPA of 3.2 is typically required.
Your college decision isn't really about the next four years. We get it. It’s about what doors are opened by your degree and whether those opportunities are what you had envisioned for yourself. Nearly 95% of SBU grads are employed or go to professional or graduate school. Here's a snapshot of what life after graduation looks like for some of them. Many of our students go onto graduate school, including staying an extra year to complete a College of Business MBA or MS program.
