Top 5 Things to Do Before Commencement
It's almost time!
- Share your tickets with your guests. You don't need tickets, but your guests do or they won't be able to enter their Arena. Be sure to download and share your tickets.
- Plan your outfit. It gets warm in there, so please dress accordingly. Also, take your gown out of the bag ASAP. It will be wrinkled so you probably want to take care of that before the big day. Oh, and figure out how to wear that hood thing. (Here’s a video from the College of Saint Rose.)
- Arrange to arrive by 4:15 pm. Allow yourself time to park and walk to the venue and to get yourself checked in. The doors open at 4:30 pm and you should report to the robing area. Please arrive on time because we are checking in 180 people and we want to get the ceremony started on time.
- Tell your guests where to park. Our ceremony takes place after 4 pm, so they can park in any unrestricted lot (those
lots that don’t have a 24-hour parking sign).
The lots closest to the Arena are the Indoor Sports Complex Parking Lots (Lots 6A & 6B), accessible via Gym Road. Enter through the main Arena doors on John S. Toll Drive.
But if you plan to attend the reception in the Wang Center, you might want to park in the Stadium lot (which is halfway between the two venues) or even in the Administration Garage across from Wang.
- Bring your phones, leave the purses. We don’t have a place to secure personal items, so leave anything bigger than a phone with your guest.
That's all you've got to do! We'll take care of the rest.
