Regalia

All graduates must wear regalia to participate in the University or SPD ceremonies.
The hood colors are listed below. If you are graduating with a certificate, you should wear the hood of the highest degree you have earned.
You can purchase regalia at the link below and have it shipped to your home address. The deadline is April 22, 2024 (shipping fees apply; see website for details). Please contact shopredwest@stonybrook.edu with any regalia ordering questions.
If you are experiencing financial hardship that would prevent you from purchasing a cap and gown, the Graduate Student Organization (GSO), in conjunction with the Office of Student Support Services, has a limited number of regalia bundles available to loan. Get the details.

Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration	Light Blue
Master of Arts in Liberal Studies	White
Master of Arts in Teaching	Light Blue
MS in Human Resource Management	Drab
Any Advanced Graduate Certificate	Students should wear the hood of the highest degree earned (e.g., if you have a bachelor of arts, you will wear a white hood)
Post-Master's AGC in Educational Leadership/School District Business Leadership	Students should wear the hood of the highest degree earned (e.g., if you have a Master of Arts in Teaching, you will wear a light blue hood)
