Spring 2022 COVID Testing Schedule

Winter Session 2021/2022 COVID Testing Requirements

The Testing Centers will be closed on Monday 1/17 in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. 

The testing schedules described below are for well, asymptomatic students who do not have any current symptoms of COVID-19.   If you do not feel well, have symptoms of COVID-19, or believe you have been exposed to someone who is COVID-19 positive, please contact Student Health Services at (631) 632-6740 or follow the instructions in your  Campus Clear app. 

If you have tested positive for COVID in the last 90 days, DO NOT get tested.  Upload your COVID positive test result indicating the date of your positive covid test to the  Wolfie Health Portal . This will also exempt you from participating in the on-campus surveillance testing for a 90-day period from the date of your positive COVID test.   

Fully Vaccinated Resident Students:

If you are residing on campus at least 4 weeks during the Winter Session, please test at least two times:

  • Obtain your first test between December 20 – January 5
  • Obtain your second test between January 6-21

If you will be on campus less than 4 weeks during this period, please test at least one time between December 20 – January 21.

Residents with Approved Exemptions:

If you are residing on campus during any of the weeks noted below, please test one time per week:

  • Week 1: December 20-22
  • Week 2: December 27-29
  • Week 3: January 3 -7
  • Week 4: January 10 -14
  • Week 5: January 17-21


Fully Vaccinated Commuter Students:

If you will be commuting to campus for an in-person class, working on campus, or accessing any in-person student services or facilities at any time during the Winter Session,  please test at least one time between December 20 – January 21*.

Commuters with Approved Exemptions:

If you will be commuting to campus during any of the weeks noted below , for an in-person class, working on campus, or accessing any in-person student services or facilities during the Winter Session, please  test  one time per week. 

  • Week 1: December 20-22
  • Week 2: December 27-29
  • Week 3: January 3 -7
  • Week 4: January 10 -14
  • Week 5: January 17-21

Testing Locations:

Recreation Center's MAC Courts (resident and commuter students):

You must register using this link  and provide your insurance information. When registering, make sure you enter your student ID correctly for your test to be accurately recorded.   Enter the information that matches your legal name that is on the back of your Stony Brook University ID card.
Appointments are required and available from 9am to 4pm Monday through Friday, and from 10:30am to 1pm on Saturdays.  This location offer a more comfortable mid-nasal PCR testing.

MAC Courts Appointments
The MAC Courts testing center will be closed on Monday 1/17 in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. 

 

HSC Galleria in East Campus (limited to HSC commuter students): 

Please use the COVID-19 Scheduler Tool to select your appointment date and time.
Monday and Tuesday 8:30am-12pm
This location offers a more comfortable mid-nasal PCR testing.
The HSC Testing Center will be closed on Monday 1/17 in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. 


Chapin Commons (limited to Chapin residents): 

You must register using this link and provide your insurance information. When registering, make sure you enter your student ID correctly for your test to be accurately recorded.   Enter the information that matches your legal name that is on the back of your Stony Brook University ID card.
Appointments are required
and available  from 10am to 1pm Mondays and Thursdays. This location offers a more comfortable mid-nasal PCR testing.

Chapin Commons Appointments
The Chapin Commons Testing Center will be closed on Monday 1/17 in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. 

 

Stony Brook Southampton:

If you live or commute to Stony Brook Southampton, your testing location is the  Special Events Room at the Student Center Cafeteria. This location offers saliva PCR COVID testing. No appointment is needed. Testing is available Mondays and Thursdays from 8:30 am to 2 pm. 
The Southampton Testing Center will be closed on Monday 1/17 in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. 

 


Spring 2022 COVID Testing Requirements

The testing schedules described below are for well, asymptomatic students who do not have any current symptoms of COVID-19.     If you do not feel well, have symptoms of COVID-19, or believe you have been exposed to someone who is COVID-19 positive, please contact Student Health Services at (631) 632-6740 or follow the instructions in your Campus Clear app.  

If you have tested positive for COVID in the last 90 days, and you have uploaded to the   Wolfie Health Portal your physician’s note indicating you’re free of infection. DO NOT get tested.
