Rebecca Dahl, PhD
Rebecca Dahl serves as the Vice President of Research Compliance at Stony Brook University
Office of Research and Innovation. Her area of interest is research ethics. She has
a broad background in various areas of research ethics including Responsible Conduct
of Research, research misconduct, conflict of interest, and federal and state laws
as they pertain to animal and human research. She received certification in the area
of human research (CIP) in 2003.
She also designed an app in collaboration with several others in the area of research ethics pertaining to children and their participation in research and tested the app with a treatment and control group of children with various physical conditions. She holds a PHD in Nursing Research (University of Washington), a Master’s degree with a focus in Nursing Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Science (both from the University of Arizona).
