The Office of Research Security (ORS) provides guidance and personalized support to help faculty, staff, and students navigate research security requirements throughout the research lifecycle. Whether you are developing a proposal, managing an active award, establishing an international collaboration, implementing data security measures, or addressing sponsor-specific requirements, ORS is available to assist.
ORS works with researchers from proposal development through project closeout to help identify applicable requirements, assess potential risks, and support compliance with university policies and sponsor expectations while enabling responsible research collaboration.
Researchers may request a research security review of a proposed activity, schedule an individual consultation, or arrange a customized training session for a department, research group, or program.

Training Sessions and Webinars
The Office of Research Security (ORS) offers training sessions and webinars to help faculty, staff, and students understand research security requirements and sponsor expectations. Topics include federal research security requirements, disclosure obligations, international research engagements, research data protection and cybersecurity, export controls, and other emerging research security issues.
Whether you are new to research security or seeking updates on recent federal requirements, ORS training provides practical guidance, compliance best practices, and opportunities to engage directly with ORS staff.
