Funding Opportunities
Conference Travel
Stony Brook IRACDA provides funding to support the professional development and training of Scholars. Conference Travel funding for the 2023-2024 program year is up to $2,000 per scholar. These funds may be utilized to attend one or more scientific meetings. In addition, each scholar will be funded to attend the annual IRACDA Conference, traditionally held in June or July.
In order to apply, please complete the Stony Brook IRACDA Application for Conference Travel Support a minimum of six weeks in advance of the scheduled meeting. Each application will be reviewed upon receipt and a letter will be issued upon approval. Once an approval letter is received, please contact Lisa Ospitale, Program Coordinator, to schedule a pre-travel meeting to discuss travel procedures and protocols. We recommend not booking any travel arrangements before the pre-travel meeting unless prior approval is granted.
Effective February 1st, 2022 all IRACDA Scholar travel expenses should be submitted to the Travel Office through an Expense Report in Concur.
Materials & Supplies
Stony Brook IRACDA program provides supplementary funding in the amount of $2,000 per scholar. These funds may be requested to purchase teaching or other supplies related to scholar career development. These funds may also be applied toward training courses and professional development workshops.
To apply, please complete the IRACDA Materials & Supplies Request Form. Upon receiving the form, Lisa Ospitale, Program Coordinator, will contact you in order to review your application.
