Heather O'Connor
About Heather
Heather O’Connor joined the Career Center team in August 2021 as a Graduate Student Intern. She enjoyed working with Pre-Health students, and in July of 2022, Heather began her full-time role as the Healthcare Career Coach.
Heather graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies. Additionally, Heather received her Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration from Stony Brook University in December of 2022.
Coaching Style
It is Heather’s goal to connect students with meaningful healthcare experiences such as job shadowing, volunteer work, clubs, internships, employment, and professional opportunities. Students are encouraged to meet with Heather to explore career options, plan ahead, and seek feedback so they are prepared for their next step, whether that be applying to a medical or graduate program, or landing a job.
