Welcome Transfer Students
In addition to general advising, the Academic and Transfer Advising Services (ATAS) Office provides specialized services to transfer students who have made a commitment to attending Stony Brook University. ATAS will answer your academic questions and concerns throughout your SBU career including questions related to your transfer credits. Our goal is to help you achieve your goals along your journey to graduation.
To get you to the right place, please tell us who you are:
You are already enrolled at Stony Brook University. You can find information about taking classes at other schools and transferring them into Stony Brook University.
You have applied and been accepted to Stony Brook University and will be starting next semester. Common answers to new student orientation can be found in this section.
You do not currently attend Stony Brook University and have not applied, but are considering applying in the future. You will find admissions-related information in this section.
