SBU 102 Instructor Resources
Every spring, our first-year students takes a required one-credit seminar with some of our most dynamic faculty. These faculty engage with students in a small seminar setting once a week. Students gain insight on topics that range from planning a major, how best to study, to civic responsibility and intellectual values.
There are two options for teaching:
*1 hour 20 minutes classes, once a week, for ten weeks
*55 minutes per week, once a week, for fourteen weeks
How to Propose a Seminar:
If you are interested in teaching a SBU 102 First Year Seminar, please keep an eye out for communication and how to submit a course proposal in the Fall semester.
If you have any questions regarding Seminar proposal, please contact Richard Tomczak, Director of Faculty Engagement, or Erika Benhardt, Associate Director of First and Second Year Advising.
