Our Music program offers a balanced curriculum of music performance, composition, theory and history that positions you for either career or entry into a graduate program. You have the opportunity to learn from our award-winning faculty and to perform in a variety of ensembles ranging from our University Orchestra and Wind Ensemble to Jazz Ensemble and the Spirit of Stony Brook Marching Band. For aspiring composers and music historians, you'll enjoy taking classes in our electronic and computer music studios, and learning directly from accomplished composition, musicology, and ethnomusicology faculty.
