The Biochemistry major is a great choice for serious and enthusiastic students. You can receive academic credit for participating in research with our world-class faculty, who collaborate with scientists on campus and off, at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory and Brookhaven National Laboratory, and with national and international labs. Many of our graduates continue their education in the health sciences and pursue careers in the medical, dental, or veterinary fields. Others opt to continue their research training in graduate programs in the biomedical or chemistry fields.
