Why Asian & Asian American Studies?

Increase your knowledge of Asian and Asian American cultures and gain skills that can be applied to many different careers! Our Asian and Asian American Studies major offers an interdisciplinary curriculum for the study of Asian culture, languages, and diaspora (i.e. Asian American and Asian migrant experiences). Among our faculty are internationally-recognized scholars in linguistics, cultural studies, philosophy, and religious studies who work closely with students both in and outside the classroom by providing opportunities for research and internship.
