- BIO 358: Biology and Human Social and Sexual Behavior
- BIO 361: Biochemistry I
Looking to enroll from afar? Our Biology Online Program offers several options for proctored exams, including on-campus, at SUNY School of Optometry in New York City, and at an approved National Remote Test Center location. Contact us (joanne.souza@stonybrook.edu) for information, potential locations, and arrangements.
Chemistry Online
Now online! CHE 131: General Chemistry IB, CHE 132: General Chemistry II, and CHE 321: Organic Chemistry I, required for many science majors and pre-health students. Students will take exams on campus or at an approved remote testing center.
Also online: CHE 312 Online: Physical Chemistry for the Life Sciences, a great introduction to physical chemistry for students looking to add advanced chemistry to their pre-medical portfolios and those considering a minor in Chemistry.
Forensic Anthropology
Have a passion for CSI? Earn credit by enrolling in our new online course, ANP 250: Forensic Anthropology. An introduction to the field of forensic anthropology, particular attention will be paid to the determination of personal identity, such as sex, age and stature, from skeletal remains, and the analysis of skeletal trauma and cause of death. This course will systematically teach LabVIEW programming, the leading software development platform that enables engineers and scientists to create and deploy powerful measurement and control applications and prototypes with minimal time.
Computer Science Online
Looking to enter or gain skills in one of the most popular fields in today's market? We're offering CSE 114: Computer Science I, the first course of our Computer Science sequence, as a synchronous online course this summer. Be sure to take note of the specific times students are required to be online before registering. Proctored exams on campus are required.
We're also offering the lecture component of CSE 101: Introduction to Computers, which fulfills the SBC TECH category, in an asynchronous online environment. Required labs for the course will meet synchronously at specific times.
For experienced coders, we've added CSE 307: Principles of Programming Languages, which studies important programming languages and paradigms such as LISP, ALGOL, ADA , ML, Prolog, and C++.
Physics Online Lectures and Labs
In need of physics lectures or labs? We're offering Classical Physics I and II, including labs, in an online environment this summer! For the labs, you'll purchase a lab kit to gain hands-on experience. These courses are commonly required for students planning to pursue studies in engineering and the physical sciences. Proctored exams are required, either on campus, or at a remote testing center. International testing centers may also be permitted. If enrolling from afar, be sure to contact the instructor about your remote testing plans.
