Biography
Vish Chandrasekaran is a structural biologist who utilizes cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) to study how the fundamental biological process of protein synthesis is regulated by cells. His past contributions to science have included structural and mechanistic insights into a variety of questions in the fields of translational control and HIV-host pathogen conflict. Outside of academia, he likes playing cricket, drums and is now learning to play the South Indian bamboo flute.
