Testing Accommodation and Requests

If you are eligible for testing accommodations such as extended time, a reader, scribe or alternate testing site, you will need to work with SASC to coordinate these services.

To be guaranteed a testing seat you will need to submit a test request at least 5 days before regular exams and at least two weeks before the first University final exam.

Students may request an exam using the online scheduling tool.  Exams should be requested 5 days in advance.  Students who need to schedule an exam with fewer than 5 days notice may use the Alternate Test Request Form.  Students will need to login with their SBU NedID and password to access the form.

Students will receive a confirmation email once the exam is booked for the SASC Testing Center.

Once an exam has been requested, faculty will receive an automatic notification email.  Both paper exams and online exams may be proctored by our Testing Center.

Test Start Time:

Students should take their exams at the same time as the class.  If an alternate test date or time is requested, students should contact their instructor to email permission for the alternate time to  The SASC Testing Center is only able to provide an appointment at an alternate time with faculty permission.
