Celebrating #StonyBrookStrong
To All Faculty and Staff,
Crisis can tear an organization apart or make it stronger. At Stony Brook University, it's made us stronger. To recognize, celebrate and reinforce that, we're launching the #StonyBrookStrong campaign. Since the COVID-19 pandemic emerged, Stony Brook University and Stony Brook Medicine took swift action to address this unprecedented public health crisis. The inspired efforts of our healthcare workers, faculty and staff have allowed us to support our region when it was needed most, with everything from frontline patient care, to online learning for students to creating face shields and hand sanitizer for the hospital.
Now is an ideal time, during National Nurses Week (May 6-12) and National Hospital Week (May 10-16), to acknowledge all those who were instrumental in responding to this emergency. We are calling on the entire Stony Brook community to celebrate how we are “Stony Brook Strong.”
Join us in this ongoing celebration by sharing your own stories of what makes us #StonyBrookStrong, kicking off with this video featuring members of our Stony Brook community.
