“Community Service Day was a significant accomplishment for the Stony Brook community.."
After five semesters, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute’s members have returned to
the Stony Brook University campus. The program, better known as OLLI, offers a variety
of noncredit workshops designed to appeal to people over 50.
Are you 50+, retired or semi-retired? Are you interested in learning new things and
meeting new friends? OLLI at SBU is the answer!
The OLLI at Stony Brook University encourages people ages 50 and above, who are retired
or semi-retired, to continue their love of learning, meet new friends, and enjoy social
and educational opportunities virtually.
The OLLI team has found creative ways of continuing regularly scheduled workshops,
committee meetings, ekections, art exhibits and the like by leveraging online technologies.
Members of the Stony Brook University community donated a variety of items to help
provide comfort to the SUNY students that were placed in a 14-day precautionary quarantine
at Stony Brook Southampton.
