Summer In Korea
The Center for Korean Studies is pleased to announce a faculty-led Korea study abroad program for summer 2022!
This program will allow students to discover and explore the lives of Korean people,
society and culture through a combination of trips, peer interactions, as well as
taking classes in the prestigious Sungkyunkwan University in downtown Seoul.
The deadline for this program is March 1st 2022.
However, applicants are accepted on a rolling basis so applying as early as possible
is encouraged.
Scholarship funding has also been graciously offered by the Center for Korean Studies
of $500 for up to 20 students.
This program entails a pre-departure program, then 3 weeks of in-country program (June 20 - July 8), and followed up by a post-program all led by the faculty of SBU.
Requirements to be eligible for this program
- Minimum 2.7 GPA
- Students must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program
- Minimum Korean Language proficiency equivalent to KOR 111 or higher
- At least two years of undergraduate study
