Research Interests
Marija Krstić's expertise is in the areas of advanced concrete materials, high-performance concrete structures, and innovative sustainable materials for building and construction, including experimental testing of concrete from nano-, micro- and macro-level to a field application level to name a few.
Her current research involves replacing cement with recycled post-consumer glass, and development of mix designs for different field applications and structures, thus creating and supporting a link between the recycling industry and concrete industry to reduce the CO2 footprint. Reusing glass in part of a circular economy approach which diverts colored glass from the landfills and gives added value to the market product.
