ADV 101: Transfer Seminar 

ADV 101 is a 1-credit seminar course designed to support first semester transfer students as they transition to Stony Brook University.  ADV 101 is open to all new transfer students, and required for international transfer students (F-1 VISA holders). 

Students who take ADV 101 will be able to: 

• Learn how to register for classes for the upcoming semester and develop an academic plan
• Learn about Stony Brook Resources and how to get involved on campus 
• Recieve help to clarify academic plan and purpose 
• Meet new friends and connect with fellow transfer students
