Testing Expectations

Testing Expectations:

Students are responsible for booking an exam with SASC’s Testing Center if you’d like to utilize the space for an exam.  We encourage you to schedule your exams at least 5 days prior to the exam date to ensure seating. 

 

Day of Exam:

Arrive 10-15 minutes early for the exam appointment to allow time for check-in

Please bring your Stony Brook University ID card

Cell phones, electronics, and smart wearables are not allowed in the SASC Testing Center (without accommodation or approval from Testing Center Staff)

All items not needed for your exam will remain securely stored for the duration of your exam.

Should you have a question during the exam, SASC staff can assist in communicating with your faculty.

 

Academic Integrity:

All students are expected to follow the Stony Brook University Academic Integrity Policy. Per university policy, any student alleged to have violated the University’s Academic Integrity Policy may be referred to the academic judiciary for review.

Faculty: Testing Center staff will reach out to you when a student books an exam.  Faculty do not need to schedule exams for students.  

 

Please note that SASC’s Testing Center only administers exams for students with approved accommodations.  All other exam requests can be directed to Stony Brook University's Testing Center, located in Frey Hall Room 109 (link to this page?).  Email SASCExams@stonybrook.edu or call 631-632-1861 during office hours.
