Your undergrads may need extra support

If we think an undergraduate student might fall behind, we have systems in place to help them keep up.
Help us gear up those systems.
Fill out student progress reports, if you receive a request.
Progress reports are an important part of our early intervention systems that help students keep up in their classes and progress toward their degree.
When you fill them out, your input activates a network of student support areas that work together to develop a customized approach for each student.
Progress reports work. 67 percent of students who get this extra support earn a passing grade in the class.
You may not get a request. But if you do, your input matters.
Fall reports are open Wednesday, September 16, through Wednesday, October 14.
Spring reports are open Wednesday, February 17, through Wednesday, March 17.
If you get a request, it will come from navigate@stonybrook.edu with the subject line, "Progress Report Inquiry." It may go to your spam folder; please keep an eye out.

The Red Book has information and support resources to help students who might be struggling mentally, emotionally, or academically.
The Red Book also includes other university resources that are here to help students, including:
- CARE Team
- Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)
- Student Conduct and Community Standards
- Student Support Team
- University Police Department
If you're not sure where to direct a student, you can encourage them to reach out to the Student Support Team. You can also submit a referral to the team and they will follow up with the student.
