Materials to Submit
Applications are done through our online form. Please make sure you have all your documents collected and ready for uploading before you begin to make the process as easy as possible.
Scholarships
General Scholarships - partial scholarships available to those taking a workshop or workshop + residency. (deadline March 15)
First Gen - a full scholarship, room and board for a five day workshop for an applicant who is a first generation college graduate or attendee. (deadline March 15)
Local Voices - a full scholarship as a commuter in a 5-day workshop for a year-round resident of Suffolk County. (deadline April 1)
Shinnecock Indian Nation - a full scholarship as a commuter in a 5-day workshop for a member of the Shinnecock Indian Nation. (deadline April 15)
If applying for funding, your statement of purpose should be 500 words or less.
If applying for funding, please arrange for a recommender to send a letter attesting to the strength of your work and your level of commitment.
Funding is only available for non-credit participants.

Deadlines
Workshop Applications:
Scholarship Deadline: March 15
Final Workshop Deadline: April 15
Rolling admission after April 15, where space is available.
Children's Literature Deadline: May 1
Residency: April 15
Lecture Series: June 15
Early application is encouraged, as workshop space is limited. Notification of acceptance will begin after March 15th. After that date, acceptances will ordinarily be emailed within four weeks.
Scholarship applications received after March 15th will be considered on a rolling basis if space and funds are available.
