Interested in a Sports Club?

• Email the "Primary Contact" on the Club Info page.
• You may also contact Thomas.Stjohn@stonybrook.edu or Thomas.Lail@stonybrook.edu for further assistance.

• Do I have to try out?

  Each sport club is open to all participants, regardless of skill, ability or experience. Sport Clubs are not allowed to hold tryouts or "cut players" from the club.

• Should this occur, does the Department of Campus Recreation want to know?

  Yes. Please e-mail Thomas.Stjohn@stonybrook.edu or Thomas.Lail@stonybrook.edu or call 631-632-7120  to let us know.

• How do I contact a club?

  Current contact information for each club is listed on the website under each club's name. Just e-mail the club representative listed. If the club representative does not have a listed email address, please e-mail us at Thomas.Stjohn@stonybrook.edu and Thomas.Lail@stonybrook.edu

• Where do sport clubs meet?

  With such a variety of sports, practices are held in several different locations.

• How much does it cost?

  The Executive Board for each club will determine whether membership dues will be assessed, and if so, how much.

• How are the new sport clubs formed?

  Contact Student Activities to start a new club or reactivate an inactive club.
