Protect yOUR Health is a workshop series that educates Seawolves about important health and wellness topics. Complete the entire series in an academic year to be eligible to receive your Health Hero Certificate.
Health In College: Join our Physical Health Peer educators to learn the specific tools needed to manage your health in college. Learn the basics of physical activity, nutrition, stress, sleep, and resources available on and off campus
Nutrition for College Life: College students are known for their distinct eating habits. Let's learn how to navigate the world of nutrition, healthy relationships with food, diet culture, signs of eating disorders as well as on and off campus resources.
STD Prevention: Join our peer educators to learn about safer sex practices, consent, sti signs and symptoms, importance of testing, how to use different types of protective barrier methods and on and off campus resources for education, testing and care.
Illness Prevention: College life can feel like a hotbed for sickness! Learn how to protect yourself and those around you from common illnesses like cold and flu. We'll also discuss what to do if you get sick and where on and off campus you can access care.
Expert Series: For Fall 2022 we'll be inviting experts in their field to speak on topics important to the health of students at SBU. If you have an idea for a topic or an expert to recommend please email Samantha at email@example.com.
