Physics and Astronomy Faculty Named APS Fellows, Win Physics Innovation Award 

Three faculty in the Department of Physics and Astronomy in the  College of Arts and Sciences have been honored by the American Physical Society — two elected APS Fellows and one winning a Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation Fundamental Physics Innovation Award.

Alda Center, SoCJ Faculty Member Awarded Lumen Teaching Certification

Elizabeth Bojsza, a faculty member in Stony Brook’s Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science and School of Communication and Journalism (SoCJ), has received an effective teaching certification.

Bojsza completed a nine-week Belonging and Inclusive Teaching Fundamentals program through the Lumen Circles Fellowship program, an open-education provider that offers professional development experiences for educators.

The Career Center held its third Instagram Live marathon with Stony Brook University faculty and staff members to promote this semester’s four industry virtual job and internship fairs and highlight stories of faculty and staff members across campus.
