Saira Naqvi is a senior majoring in Biochemistry and minoring in Health and Wellness. Stony Brook has been the best fit for her to pursue pre-med. She is currently the President of the Biochemistry Society, a member of the Student Advisory Board for Undergraduate Biology, a TA for BIO 315 and AMS 161, and part of the WISE Honors program. In addition, Saira has been a peer tutor at Stony Brook and a commuter assistant. She has received the Presidential Award, Women in Science Scholarship, and the Andrea Roher Scholarship. She is currently doing cancer research at Stony Brook Hospital. Saira has been a part of the PACE program and volunteers at Stony Brook Hospital Oncology floor as well as an Emergency Department (ED) Ambassador at another hospital. Off campus, Saira is a medical scribe at an ED. She is shadowing an oncologist at Stony Brook Hospital and hopes to become an oncologist in the future.
