Brock, Lownes is a first-year Ph.D. student interested in media aesthetics and the history of modern art with a particular emphasis on the history of sculpture. He received his Master of Arts Program in the Humanities (MAPH) at the University of Chicago. His MA thesis was on Claes Oldenburg’s use of Geometric Mouse motif across a variety of two and three-dimensional media. Brock has held curatorial internships at the Parrish Museum of Art in Watermill and the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago.
