Sophomore
Gianna Montante is a sophomore majoring in Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies with a minor in Health, Medicine and Society. As part of the Scholars for Medicine program, she aspires to become a physician and utilize what she has learned at Stony Brook to help her become an understanding and empathetic doctor. During her freshman year, Gianna served as the Vice President for the Yang Hall Council and became a member of the Sigma Beta Honor Society, American Medical Women's Association, and Circle K International organization. On top of this, she received her Green Dot, Red Watch Band, and QPR training certifications though the Center for Prevention and Outreach. At Stony Brook, Gianna hopes to leave a positive impact on the community, meet new friends, and better herself as a student and as a person.
