Stony Brook Film Festival Presents an Encore Screening: Westhampton

The Stony Brook Film Festival is presenting a free encore screening of the award-winning film, Westhampton, July 26 at the Avram Theater.

Written and directed by Christian Nilsson, Westhampton won the Jury Award for Directing at the Stony Brook Film Festival last year. The film is a beautifully shot tale of forgiveness and acceptance by Nilsson, a Long Island native.

A reception will precede the film at 6:30 pm, and a Q&A with the filmmakers will follow the screening at 8:45 pm.

The 31st annual Stony Brook Film Festival, presented by Stony Brook Medicine, returns to the Staller Center for the Arts on the main Stony Brook University campus from July 16–25, with 36 films from 23 countries, filmmaker Q&As, special events and some of the year’s most acclaimed independent cinema.
