University Welcome Convocation

The President and University leadership lead the official welcome, ushering new students into the Stony Brook University community.

Roles include:

Section Lead - Working with the Section Usher to fill seats

Section Ushers - Filling every seat in the section

Aisle Usher - Moving students into sections, working with Section Leads

Gate Support - Working with student staff to move students past check-in into the event

Water Distribution - Distributing water to students as they walk in and in sections

Class Photo Support - Moving students into their spots for the class photo, diagrams will be provided

Field Entrance - Working with the Section Leads to safely and quickly get students down to the field.
