What is  New Seawolf Welcome Week?

New Seawolf Welcome Week is an experience geared toward getting you acclimated to Stony Brook University and to introduce you to faculty, staff, and fellow students. Each student has a unique schedule of Assigned Workshops and Choose Your Own Workshops. All workshops can be found in SBEngaged, our online platform that houses campus events, organizations & involvement opportunities. View the step by step guide to access and manage your New Seawolf Welcome Week schedule. Access to the orientation organizations and your schedule will be available the week you register for classes.

Students who do not attend the required workshops will receive an Orientation Hold on their SOLAR account, preventing them from registering for the following semester, and will be required to participate in the  Required Orientation Makeup Experience (ROME).

What is the schedule for New Seawolf Welcome Week?

Students will each have a unique schedule comprised of Assigned Workshops and Choose Your Own Workshops.  In order to fulfill New Seawolf Welcome Week requirements, students are required  to attend all of their assigned workshops.
