What is New Seawolf Winter Welcome ?

New Seawolf Winter Welcome is geared toward getting you acclimated to Stony Brook University and to introduce you to faculty, staff, and fellow students. Each student has a unique schedule of Assigned Required Workshops. All workshops can be found in SBEngaged, our online platform that houses campus events, organizations & involvement opportunities. View the step by step guide to access and manage your New Seawolf Winter Welcome schedule. Access to the orientation organizations and your schedule will be available the second week of January.


What is the schedule for New Seawolf Winter Welcome?

Students will each have a unique schedule comprised of Assigned Required Workshops.  In order to fulfill New Seawolf Winter Welcome requirements, students are required  to attend all of their assigned workshops. All programs will be available on SB Engaged in January. Students should review this step by step guide to view and manage their schedule.

Dining During Winter Welcome 

The dining program offers two all-you-care-to-eat dine-in locations to use meal plan swipes and over a dozen retail locations to use dining dollars.

Dining Dollars are active starting on January 13. Dining Dollars can be used at any retail dining location plus when used to pay at dine-in, you save 10% on the door rate.

Meal Swipes are active starting on January 21 for brunch and can be used at East Side and West Side (all-you-care-to-eat) dine-in.

Helpful tools to enhance your dining experience:

  • Nutrislice - view menus, nutrition information, filter dietary preferences, place mobile orders and receive special event notifications.
  • Stony Brook Campus Card – visit to add Dining Dollars or Wolfie Wallet funds to your Stony Brook ID card, check your balance and report your card lost.
