Nakiya Findley

Regina web Assistant Director of Student Orientation & Student Leadership

I am excited to have re-joined the Office of Student Orientation and Family Programs in 2018! As a proud alumna of Stony Brook University, Class of 2013; B.A. in Sociology, coming back to SBU feels like coming home. Prior to returning to SBU, I worked at Providence College and John Carroll University in Residence Life. I earned my M.Ed. in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration from the University of Vermont. As a former OL, I'm honored to serve in this role, and to work with new students and Orientation  Leaders  as they transition into a new stage in their lives!

Kirshani Gunaratnam

Kirshani Graduate Assistant

I am very excited to join the Office of Student Orientation & Family Programs as a Graduate Assistant. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from Farmingdale State College in May 2017, and I am currently a graduate student in the Higher Education Administration Master’s degree program at Stony Brook University. I was an Orientation Leader during my undergraduate studies at Farmingdale, so joining Stony Brook’s Office of Student Orientation & Family Programs was the perfect transition for me.

I am joining the Office of Student Orientation & Family Programs for the Summer of 2019 and am a current graduate student in the Student Development Administration program at Seattle University. I was a former Orientation Leader in my own time as an undergraduate at UC Davis, so I am very excited to be back in an Orientation position. I look forward to working with SBU Orientation Leaders and welcoming new students!
